Without much publicity or official announcements, the Unites States released five Guantanamo Bay detainees as a nod of willingness to open peace talks in Afghanistan. After officials inKabul expressed desire for negotiations, the Obama administration released five members of the Taliban who were detained at the US detention center.

A top US official said that the prisoners were released under the condition that they will not engage in any violent activity. While it is clear that they are guilty of crime, the benefit in releasing them—the potential withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan by the summer of 2014—is greater than the risk. The US announced it will attempt to negotiate peace talks with the Taliban and Afghanistan government officials some months ago.

Giving women access to day care so they can work will allow moms “to earn without carrying the burden of child care,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in an interview on National Public Radio (NPR) on Sunday.

Pelosi spoke about her recently announced “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families,” on Weekend Edition Sunday, an agenda that includes equal pay for women, an increase in the minimum wage, universal pre-school and access to child care for women who work.

“The child care issue probably has to be done in steps,” Pelosi told NPR host Susan Stamberg. “But when children are learning, parents can be learning.”

“And when the children are in preschool, that frees parents to earn without carrying the burden of the child care,” she said.

“They threw molotov cocktails at Al-Azraa and Anba Ebram churches but were not able to break in as nearby Muslims and Christians were securing the churches,” said Ishak Ibrahim, researcher at Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR). He added that the protesters tried to storm in El-Eslah church but were prevented. “However, both El-Eslah church and an annex of the Catholic church were raided before, on 3 July,” he said.

Angela Giron, a rising star in the state’s powerful Democratic Party and a labor favorite in heavily unionized Pueblo.

The three plumbers’ grass-roots efforts — and Ms. Giron’s struggle to hold on to her seat — have roiled politics in this purple state while laying down a marker in the increasingly fierce state-level battle over gun control laws, political watchers say.

The feat is even more impressive when placed in context: The Sept. 10 recall votes for Ms. Giron and fellow Democrat state Senate President John Morse, driven by their support of sweeping gun control legislation this year, are the first against any elected state official in Colorado’s 137-year history.

Michele Bachmann on the floor of Congress almost verbatim has put on the record what we here at Barracuda Brigade have espoused outrage at, ever since this "Act of Madness" first started. 

We've posted countless stories on Al-Qaeda and Arming the Syrian Rebels. Long ago we stopped counting the number of people who called us crazy. Over and over they said, "no way Obama would ever do such a thing. Why are you lying and slandering him?" We can only imagine the next allegations being, you're making up fake videos of verified facts now recited in the halls of Congress.

On 9-11-2001, Al-Qaeda led by Bin-Laden and Zawahari launched the "Mother of all Terrorist Attacks." That night they drank wine, danced and celebrated the death of over 3000 Americans. Where were you that dark and evil Tuesday? 

Like us, did you smell the jet fuel, metal and flesh burning as the smoke spread over our Nation? Were you prepared when the cameras and our souls were violently and permanently pierced, as the 2nd Tower was hit? Do the screams still haunt you, as Tower 1 fell? Does the anger and pain remain, as Tower 2 fell? Who were you calling or holding as Rumsfeld was dragged out of a burning and collapsing Pentagon, as he frantically tried to find and pull the survivors out? Do you still feel the wind carrying flight 93's heroic last message, "Lets Roll?"

Who else still feels the pain we do from that day? Are we the only ones whose eyes are incapable of holding back the tears when reminded of that day? Are the tears flowing now from our eyes as we create this post, are they the final tears America has left? 

Did you pray as the funerals and memorials took place? Like us, were you devastated and transfixed, unable to look away? Did you raise your voice and chant USA, USA, USA, when President Bush rallied our nation and the civilized world, declaring, "They'll hear from all of us, real soon?" 

Were you unaware the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Palestinians and millions of Islamic terrorists and psychopaths celebrated the deaths, grief and pain we were experiencing? Were we the only ones who understood loud and clear, who the enemy is? 

How many times did the Battle Hymn of the Republic, Taps and Amazing Grace mournfully harmonize, echoing to our loved ones, lost in Heaven? Is there anybody left who no matter where you are, when you hear these songs, see visions of Tuesday 9-11-2001 and the days that followed; as if it were happening live?

America, for the grace of God and our children's future, wake up before it's too late. Obama is arming Al-Qaeda, the Brotherhood, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Palestinians. Each and everyone of these terrorist groups are declared enemies of America, Israel, Britain, Australia, Europe and the entire civilized world. 

Obama lied to you, he lied to us and he lied to the entire world. The Benghazi You-Tube video was and is the biggest "Red Herring" in America's history. He lied to the UN's General Assembly two weeks after the Benghazi attack. Five times in his speech he blamed that video for the Benghazi terror attack, two full weeks after the fact. That's not "Battlefield Confusion" or "Evolving Assessments," it's a bold faced, unadulterated series of premeditated lies. 

He told the General Assembly and the world in that speech, "The future must not belong to those who insult the Prophet." For the record, not converting to Islam is defined as insulting the Prophet, thus the justification to Kill the Infidels. Obama was raised a Muslim in Indonesia. This fact is beyond any refute. He became a Brotherhood member before he turned fourteen. He damn well knows, not converting is insulting. 

Make no mistake, Obama's outrageous "Prophet" statement is a coded battle cry for Islam and the Caliphate. Translated into it's actual meaning it reads: "The future will belong to Islam and the Prophet." Guess what, the only way that happens, America, Israel, our allies and all freedom loving people must die.

Any Egyptian who's not a Brotherhood member will tell you this is accurate. They've experienced first hand Obama's battle cry manifested into reality. Hundreds of thousands, perhaps a half million Christians were murdered in cold blood by Morsi and the Brotherhood in the time they controlled Egypt. Why, they insulted the Prophet; they didn't convert.

Joints Chief of Staff General Dempsey has recently submitted "War Plans" for Syria. He detailed five options. All five require the arming, funding and aiding of Al-Qaeda.Three and possibly four options would actually have American military forces fighting side by side with Al-Qaeda on the battlefield. Is there anyone out there besides Barracuda Brigade and Michele Bachmann who has a seriously major problem with this? 

In closing, can somebody, anybody, rationally and without political talking points answer the following questions:

What possible National Security Interest of the United States is so important and at risk in Syria that we would become allies with the the Rabid Animals that carried out the 9-11 attacks on us?

How is it possible when Federal Law states any American citizen aiding Al-Qaeda or any known foreign terrorist or terrorist group will result in Federal arrest, prosecution and imprisonment, that Obama is still a free man?

Finally, the Constitution defines Treason among other things as an act or acts where one deliberately aids or abets the known enemy. Therefore, when it is universally acknowledged that the Syrian Rebels are in fact Al-Qaeda, why has our military not arrested and removed Obama from office?

They’re back. 
Last April, the DOD added a new city to its long and growing list of residents to victimize. Using Chicago suburbs for its “urban assault training” ground, American citizens woke up alarmed and frightened, calling it “A War Zone”. Last week, the Blackhawk helicopters were back.

It’s only a drill, Chicago.

Reports of black military helicopters circling the Willis Tower and flying over Lake Michigan Monday night lit up local social media with theories and speculation.

Some thought it was part of “Transformers 4,” which begins filming in Chicago Aug. 18 through Sept. 27. Others wondered if it was a precaution for President Obama’s visit to Illinois on Wednesday.

The real reason? Chicago is hosting routine military, low-range helicopter training exercises through Thursday, according to the Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

Cities across the nation are performing similar training exercises to ensure the military knows the proper protocol in urban areas, the OEMC said. Military service personnel are going through mandatory training to prepare for future overseas deployments.

The new normal is to think Hollywood is filming the next big budget, high action, urban assault movie over your home. Have no fear. It’s only your government. The author of the NBC article minimized the “military training exercises” happening in our city streets and skies as just being “routine”. Chicago residents are scolded with the implication they should chill out, because “it’s only a drill”.

In other words: Support your overbearing tyrannical government, and be quiet.

More than 1,000 detainees have escaped from a prison in eastern Libya, security forces told AP. It comes as hundreds of Libyans protest against the killing of a prominent anti-Brotherhood activist, blaming Islamists for his death.

The mass jailbreak occurred at Koyfiya prison in the eastern city of Benghazi on Saturday, according to security official Mohammed Hejazi. 

Most of the inmates were being held on serious charges, according to another official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. 

The escape happened as protesters stormed the offices of Islamist-allied parties in cities throughout the country. It remains unclear whether the jailbreak was part of the protests or if inmates received outside help.

Shops and banks have been closed and all flights cancelled after Tunisia's largest labour organisation called a general strike in protest at the assassination of the prominent opposition figure.

Brahmi, a member of the Arab nationalist Popular Front party, was shot 11 times outside his home in Tunis in front of his wife and children. It was the second political killing of the year.

The former leader of the Popular Front, Chokri Belaid, was gunned down in February, triggering violent protests that led to the resignation of Islamist prime minister Hamadi Jebali.

Brahmi, 58, was an outspoken critic of the Islamist Ennahda ruling coalition and a member of the Constituent Assembly. His family said his funeral would take place on Saturday (27 July) and he would be buried near the tomb of Belaid.

An Oregon man learned the hard way yesterday that a bat is probably not the best tool for robbing a gun store.

22-year-old Derrick Mosley reportedly attempted to rob Discount Gun Sales in Beaverton, Ore., on Thursday. Wielding a baseball bat, Mosley strolled into the store and smashed a display case.

But, according to police, upon attempting to steal a gun from the smashed case, he learned that gun beats bat.

All the store manager… of a gun store… had to do was pull out his own personal firearm. And that he did. Pointing it straight at Mosley, the manager successfully ordered the would-be robber to drop the bat, the unloaded gun he was trying to steal, and a nine-inch knife in his possession.

Upon arrival, the sheriff’s department reportedly found Mosley on the floor, still being held at gunpoint by the furious manager. The failed robber was booked on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree theft, unlawful possession of a firearm, and second-degree criminal mischief.

Add to that the mental crime of thinking a bat would be an effective tool for robbing a store full of guys with guns.

KATU-TV reports that Mosley’s bail was set at $250,000.
