SKY News English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson has been arrested on a controversial march that was prevented from going through the centre of one of Britain’s biggest Muslim NO-GO zones in the UK.
A tweet on the EDL website stated: “Tommy’s been arrested for incitement.”

But Judge Mr Justice King yesterday ruled that a police decision to impose restrictions over fears of “serious public disorder” was reasonable and proportionate. By 6pm, 14 people had been arrested but it is thought the numbers could rise.
The Metropolitan Police allowed the protest but under strict conditions which meant any march would be held at the outskirts of the borough and close to Tower Bridge.
RT Clashes broke out in London after pro-Islamist protesters confronted the English Defense League (EDL) during a march at Tower Bridge on Saturday. Police made arrests, used batons, and kettled demonstrators in an attempt to contain the violence.
Roughly 600 EDL supporters tried to march to the East London Mosque on Whitechapel Road on Saturday, despite the fact that marchers were previously banned from entering the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, where the mosque is located. The EDL believes the area has become “subject to Sharia law.”
More than 160 people were arrested on Saturday, according to The Independent. The group, which describes itself as a human rights organization, believes “Sharia needs to be tackled at a global as well as national level.”
The march started south of Tower Bridge around 1pm local time. Protesters marched while shouting,“England” and “I’m English until I die.” Saturday’s demonstration included members of similar groups from Poland, Finland, and Germany.
